Bathypelagic Zone

The Bathypelagic, or Bathyal zone, extends from 1000 to 4000 meters in depth. Because it is so deep it is often called the midnight zone, as very little sunlight reaches down here. Among the things living here are the sperm whale, the giant squid, and the frilled shark. Aside from these, most animals have weak muscles and are very slimy, as predators cannot see them so they have to need for strong muscles to run. With the little amounts of sunlight there are no plants. This little sunlight also contributes to the tempature being 39 degrees fahrenheit. There are 280 species of fish in the Bathyal zone. The abiotic features are water, rocks, and sand.

The marine biome is pretty much the entire ocean. It is mostly water and has a very large diversity of animals.

Abyssopelagic Zone

The abyssopelagic zone extends from from 4000 to 6000 meters. Among the creatures living there are the basket star, some octopus, deep water squid, sea pigs, sea spiders, the deep sea medussa, and the angler fish. Tempatures range from 35 to 37 degrees fahrenheit.

There is no sunlight so there are no plants. There are about 1,350 species of fish in this zone. The abiotic features in this zone are sand, rocks, and water.

Hadopelagic

The hadopelagic or hadal zone is named after Hades, greek god of the underworld. This zone starts at 6000 meters and end at the bottom of the ocean. This zone is usualy only found in sea trenches. The temperature is about 28 degrees fahrenheit here. Amoung the things living here are sea cucumbers, viperfish, and tube worms. Most Things living this deep have no coloration, because nothing this deep is capable of seeing color. Very few species live in this zone because of its depth. Since this zone is so deep very few humans have been to it. The abiotic features for this zone are sand, rocks, and water.
